VPASS IS NO LONGER BEING USED TO SCHEDULE VISITS

Check this page regularly for updates on the status of visiting at each state institution. Every prison has visiting on Saturdays, Sundays, and four holidays during each calendar year (New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day). Events that may impact visiting include medical quarantines and modified programs.

Visits vary by institution but usually begin between 7:30 a.m. and end between 2 and 3 p.m. To find out the days and visiting hours for the prison you are going to visit, call 1-800-374-8474.

Avenal State Prison (ASP) will be transitioning to a Hybrid Visiting Model starting on Saturday April 10, 2021. This model will allow ASP to continue video visitation on SATURDAYS and in-person visitation on SUNDAYS. In-Person visitation will be by appointment only. Visiting sessions will be one-hour (1) sessions with thirty (30) minutes in between sessions to disinfect visiting areas. Unfortunately, only one approved visitor will be scheduled per inmate. Visits will be limited capacity to maintain social distancing requirements. Visitors are required to either provide a negative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) COVID-19 test result from a test taken no longer than 72 hours prior to visit, or undergo Point of Care (POC) rapid COVID-19 test prior to admission into the institution. The POC test will be conducted by healthcare staff. A negative result will be required for the visit to go forward. Visitors are required to arrive at least on hour prior to their scheduled time. It is important to take into account that testing onsite may affect your scheduled visit. In addition, the use of vending machines will not be allowed during the visit. ASP will provide water for consumption during the visit. California City Correctional Facility
CAC Visiting Status - Hybrid Visiting

California Correctional Center
CCC Visiting Status - Hybrid Visiting

CCC will be transitioning to a Hybrid Visiting Model starting on Saturday April 10, 2021. This model will allow CCC to continue video visitation on SUNDAYS and in-person visitation on SATURDAYS. Facility A is currently on Phase II and will be eligible for in-person visiting. Facilities B, C, and M are in Phase III and are eligible for in-person visiting. Inmates on quarantine or Isolation will not be eligible for in-person or video visitation. In-Person visitation will be by appointment only and available for one approved visitor per inmate. Visiting will be one-hour (1) sessions. Visits will be limited capacity to maintain social distancing requirements. Visitors are required to either provide a negative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) COVID-19 test result from a test taken no longer than 72 hours prior to the visit, or undergo a Point of Care (POC) rapid COVID-19 test will be available at the institution prior to the admission into the institution. The POC test will be conducted by healthcare staff and a negative result will be required. Visitors are required to arrive at least one (1) hour prior to their scheduled visit time. California Health Care Facility
CHCF Visiting Status - Hybrid Visiting Model

CHCF will be transitioning to a Hybrid Visiting Model CHCF is currently in Phase 2. As of 4/14/21 - Bldg's B2A, B4A, C3B, D1A, D3A, D3B, D6B, E1C, E1F, E4B are currently unavailable for visiting for this weekend. CHCF will continue video visitation on SUNDAYS and in-person visitation on SATURDAYS. In-Person visitation will be by email request from 8am Saturday to 8am Monday for the following weekend only. Visiting sessions will be one-hour (1) sessions with thirty (30) minutes in between sessions to disinfect visiting areas. Unfortunately, only one approved visitor will be scheduled per inmate. Visits will be limited to maintain social distancing requirements. California Institution for Men
CIM Visiting Status - Hybrid Visiting

The California Institution for Men (CIM) will be transitioning to a Hybrid Visiting Model starting on Saturday April 10, 2021. This model will allow CIM to commence in-person visitation on SATURDAYS and video visitation on SUNDAYS. In-Person visitation will be by appointment only. Visiting sessions will be one-hour sessions with 30 minutes in between sessions to disinfect visiting areas. Unfortunately, only one approved visitor will be scheduled per inmate. Visits will be limited capacity to maintain social distancing requirements. In addition, the use of vending machines will not be allowed during the visit. Phase 1 facilities will only be allowed Video Visitation. FACILITY A, B, C, and D are currently in Phase 2/3 and will participate in the Hybrid Visiting schedule. CIW Visiting Status - Video Visits

This location is providing video visiting to allow friends and family to safely connect with incarcerated people. Each incarcerated person is allowed one free 30-minute video visit every 30 days with an approved visitor. All institutions will be following public health protocols while conducting video visitation, including physical distancing and sanitation of each station following a visit. California Medical Facility
CMF Visiting Status - Hybrid Visiting

California Medical Facility (CMF) is currently operating in Phase 2 and will be transitioning to a Hybrid Visiting Model starting on SUNDAY April 11, 2021. This model will allow CMF to continue video visitation on SATURDAYS which are now one-hour (1) and in-person on SUNDAYS. Both Video and In-Person visitation will be by appointment only. In-person visiting sessions will be one-hour (1) sessions with thirty (30) minutes in between sessions to disinfect visiting areas. Unfortunately, only one approved visitor will be scheduled per inmate (NO minors). Visits will be limited capacity to maintain social distancing requirements. Visitors shall wear a mask which shall be worn at all times during visiting. CMF will provide water for consumption during the visit. Photo ducat program will not be available. Visitors are required to either provide a negative(PCR)COVID-19 test result test taken no longer than 72 hours prior to visit, or undergo(POC) rapid test prior to admission into the institution. IT IS STRONGLY ENCOURAGED THAT VISITORS TEST PRIOR TO THEIR ARRIVAL.This will alleviate the risk of missing your scheduled visit.There will be no extended time allowed should this occur.The visit will be rescheduled.If your loved one is housed in a quarantine/isolation unit that unit will not have the ability to receive neither video or in-person visits. California Mens Colony
CMC Visiting Status - hybrid

The California Men's Colony is on Phase 2. In-person visiting will begin April 10, 2021. Every Saturday, Video Visits will be available. Video visits will be scheduled using the new VSA system. Each Visitor will be restricted to the time slot assigned to the incarcerated person's current housing. For video visitations, the VSA will be available at 0000 hours Friday through 2359 hours Tuesday for the following weekend. Each incarcerated person is allowed an hour video visit every 30 days with an approved visitor. In-Person Visitation will be available on Sunday. Scheduling will be performed via e-mail submission to CMCVideoVisiting@cdcr.ca.gov. For in-person visitations, reservations will be taken weekly, beginning each Saturday at 0800 hours, through Monday at 0800 hours for visits the following weekend. Emails received outside the timeframe allowed will not be rolled over to the following weekend for review. Instead, a new request must be submitted during the following week reservation timeframe. Not all reservations may be accepted because of space and equipment limitations. Buildings on quarantine/isolation will not have the ability to receive neither video or in-person visits. California Rehabilitation Center (CRC) will be transitioning to a Hybrid Visiting Model starting on Saturday April 10, 2021. This will allow CRC to have in-person visitation on SATURDAYS and continue video visitation on SUNDAYS. In-Person visitation will be by appointment only. Video and in-person Visiting sessions will be one-hour (1) sessions with thirty (30) minutes in between sessions to disinfect visiting areas. Only one approved visitor will be scheduled per inmate. Visits will be limited capacity to maintain social distancing requirements. Scheduling for in-person visitation will begin one week before the intended visit starting Saturday 8am and closing Monday 8am, utilizing the email process at CRCVideoVisiting@cdcr.ca.gov Visitors are required to either provide a negative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) COVID-19 test result from a test taken no longer than 72 hours prior to visit, or undergo Point of Care (POC) rapid COVID-19 test prior to admission into the institution. California State Prison Corcoran
COR Visiting Status - In-Person Visiting

Beginning the weekend of April 10th, 2021 CSP-Corcoran will be providing IN-PERSON Visiting. In person visiting will be on SATURDAYS and SUNDAYS. Visitation will be by APPOINTMENT ONLY. Appointment requests may be submitted to CORvideovisiting@cdcr.ca.gov beginning Saturday, April 3rd at 8:00 am through Monday, April 5th at 8:00 am and may be scheduled one week in advance. For any future visits you may schedule your visits one week prior beginning Saturday 8:00 am through Monday 8:00 am. Visiting sessions will be one-hour sessions with 30 minutes in between to disinfect. One approved visitor will be scheduled per inmate. ALL in person visitors MUST provide a negative Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) COVID-19 test result taken no longer than 72 hours prior to the visit or undergo a Point of Care (POC) rapid COVID-19 test prior to admission into the institution. A negative test is required to continue with your visit. Visitors will be required to arrive at least one hour prior to their scheduled visit time. Vending machines will not be available. A bottle of water will be provided to each visitor and inmate. Inmates that are on quarantine/isolation status will NOT be allowed to participate in visiting. LAC Visiting Status - Video Visiting/ In-Person Visiting

CSP-LAC will be having hybrid visiting. Video Visiting will continue to be scheduled on the VSA system. https://cdcr.gtlvisitme.com/app Video Visiting will take place only on Saturday’s of each month. VPASS will no longer be used. In-Person Visiting will take place only on Sunday’s of each month, start date of April 11th, 2021.To schedule an In-Person Visit will be through the Institutional email: LACVideoVisiting@cdcr.ca.gov Visitors shall be allowed per inmate one- hour Video Visit. One Visitor shall be allowed per inmate for a one-hour In-Person visit (no minors allowed in Phase 2) Must arrive one hour prior to In-Person Visit. Visitors are required to either provide a negative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) COVID-19 test result from a test taken no longer than 72 hours prior to the visit, or undergo Point of Care (POC) rapid COVID-19 test prior to admission into the institution. SAC Visiting Status - In-Person Visiting

Beginning the weekend of April 10th, 2021 CSP Sacramento will be providing IN-PERSON Visiting. In person visiting will be on SATURDAYS and SUNDAYS. Visitation will be by APPOINTMENT ONLY via VSA effective April 16, 2021. You may begin to schedule your own in person visits by claiming your account at cdcr.gtlvisitme.com. Visiting sessions will be one-hour sessions with 30 minutes in between to disinfect. One approved visitor will be scheduled per inmate. ALL in person visitors MUST provide a negative Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) COVID-19 test result no longer than 72 hours prior to the visit or undergo a Point of Care (POC) rapid COVID-19 test prior to admission into the institution, a negative test is required to continue with your visit. Visitors will be required to arrive at least an hour and a half prior to their scheduled visit time. Vending machines will not be available but a bottle of water will be provided to the visitor and inmate. Be advised that inmates that are on quarantine/isolation status will NOT be allowed to participate in visiting. Also, we will be implementing social distancing along with a mask. SOL Visiting Status - Video Visiting/ Hybrid Visiting

CSP-Solano (SOL) will be transitioning to Hybrid Visiting on Sunday, April 11, 2021. Hybrid Visiting will consist of In-Person Visiting occurring every Sunday, and Video Visiting occurring every Saturday. To schedule an In-Person Visit, the visitor will currently be required to schedule it through the Institutional e-mail: SOLVideoVIsiting@cdcr.ca.gov In-Person Visits will be by appointment only and will only be one-hour sessions with 30 minutes in between session to disinfect visiting areas. Visitors are required to arrive at least one hour prior to their scheduled visit. Visitors shall go through the COVID-19 entrance screening process, which shall include touchless temperature screening and verbal screening questionnaire. Visitors are required to either provide a negative polymerase chain reaction COVID-19 test result from a test taken no longer than 72 hours prior to the visit, or undergo a Point of Care rapid (POC) COVID-19 test prior to the admission in the institution. Each incarcerated person is allowed one free one hour video visit with an approved visitor. All institutions will be following public health protocols while conducting video visitation, including physical distancing and sanitation of each station following a visit. Calipatria State Prison
CAL Visiting Status - hybrid visiting

UPDATE!! Calipatria State Prison has transitioned to a Hybrid Visiting. Hybrid Visiting will consist of In-Person visit occurring on Saturday, and Video Visiting occurring on Sunday. Effective Friday April 16, 2021 and moving forward, Visitors will now have the ability to schedule their own VIDEO and IN-PERSON VISIT using the Visitation Scheduling Application (VSA). Centinela State Prison
CEN Visiting Status - Hybrid-Visiting

On April 10th, Centinela State Prison will be providing Hybrid Visiting. In-person visits occur on Saturday and Video Visiting on Sunday. Use the VSA system to schedule Video Visiting. Video Visits will be for 1 hour. Log onto your WebEx invite 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. In-Person Visits will be scheduled via email requests. Please submit your requests to CENVideoVisiting@cdcr.ca.gov. In-Person Visits will be a duration of 1 hour. For in-person visiting it is recommended to arrive to the institution 1 hour prior to your scheduled appointment. COVID-19 Screening will be conducted upon your arrival for your visit. A negative Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) or a negative Point-of-Care (POC) result for COVID-19 test must be taken within 72 hours of your scheduled appointment. *Note- Onsite testing will be available but the process of testing may take up time from your visit. Facility A, D and E are currently on Phase III; Facility B and C are currently on Phase II. Offenders housed in C1, A3, A5, B4 and D5 will not be eligible to receive video or in-person visit. Central California Women’s Facility (CCWF) is currently operating in Phase II. CCWF will be reopening in-person visiting on April 10, 2021. Visits will continue to be held on weekends and holidays from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (hours may vary). We are currently in Phase 2 institution-wide and will transition to Hybrid Visiting on Saturday, April 10, 2021. In-Person Visiting will occur every Saturday and Video Visiting every Sunday in one-hour time slots. Video Visiting will remain being scheduled through the VSA. Additionally, beginning Friday, April 16, 2021, visitors will now be required to schedule an in-person visit through the VSA (GTL). The visitor will no longer schedule in-person visits through Institutional e-mail. VPASS will no longer be used. In-person visits will be by appointment only, one-hour sessions with 30 minutes in between sessions to disinfect visiting areas. Visitors are required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test within 72-hours of the visiting appointment. If visitors do not provide proof of a negative test, the Institution will conduct a POC test on-site. 4-2-2021:MCSP is in Phase II. In-person visiting starts on April 10, 2021 and will continue every Saturday; video visits will continue to be on Sundays and are scheduled through GTL. Emails for in-person visiting will be accepted as of Saturday at 8am until Monday at 8am. Video and In-person visits will be one hour long starting April 10, 2021. In-person visitors are required to arrive at least one hour before their scheduled appointment with a negative PCR or POC test result from a test taken within 72 hours of your appointment time. Visitors can find COVID-19 test site locations by county at this link: https://covid19.ca.gov/get-tested/ When arriving at MCSP for your in-person visit, the entrance gate officer will verify you have a scheduled visit for the day. The visitor will go to the COVID-19 screening area, where medical staff will get the visitors temperature and ask several medical screening questions. Medical staff will verify your PCR test results or refer you to the POC testing area. The visitor will remain in their vehicle until the test results are verified and a clearance pass is issued, and the visitor can proceed to visitor processing. The only allowable items to bring to visitor processing and into the institution are a valid picture ID and your screening clearance pass. If the prescreening process intrudes on the scheduled appointment time, visitors will not be allowed to make up the lost time.

Visitors will be encouraged to arrive at least one hour prior to your scheduled visit, Visitors must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test, no longer than 72 hours before the visit, or receive a negative rapid test from employee health care staff at the institution. CDCR recognizes the value of inmate visitation as a means of maintaining family and community ties and preparing inmates for successful release back into society. At this time, CDCR must take extreme precautionary measures in order to protect the health and wellness of all who live, work, and visit within our institutions and make every effort in stopping the spread.

Valley State Prison
VSP Visiting Status - COVID PHASE 2-HYBRID VISITING

Valley State Prison is implementing a Hybrid Visiting Model; video visiting on Saturdays and in-person visitation on Sundays. Buildings on quarantine/isolation will not have the ability to receive visits. Beginning Friday, April 16, 2021 for the weekend of April 24-25, 2021; visitors will now have the ability to schedule their own video and in-person visits via VSA system. Visiting sessions will be one-hour (1) sessions with thirty (30) minutes in between sessions to disinfect visiting areas. Unfortunately, only one approved visitor will be scheduled per inmate. Visits will be limited capacity to maintain social distancing requirements. Visitors are required to provide a negative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) COVID-19 test result from a test taken no longer than 72 hours prior to visit. Based on testing availability and the time necessary to process test results on-grounds, CDCR strongly urges visitors to obtain a viral COVID-19 test prior to their visit. The supply of rapid tests is limited and a test is not guaranteed. Visitors will not be allowed into the institution without proof of a negative COVID-19 test. Wasco State Prison
WSP Visiting Status - Updated Hybrid Visiting

Wasco State Prison-Reception Center (WSP-RC) will be transitioning to a Hybrid Visiting Model. Visitors will now have the ability to schedule their own video AND in-person visits beginning Friday, April 16, 2021 for the weekend of April 24-25, 2021 using the Visitation Scheduling Application (VSA). This model will allow WSP to implement in-person visitation on SATURDAYS and video visitation on SUNDAYS only for Facility M. Visitors must arrive at least an hour prior to their scheduled visit. Visiting sessions will be one (1) hour sessions. Only one (1) approved visitor will be allowed. Visiting capacity will be limited to maintain social distancing protocols. Visitors are required to either provide documentation of a negative COVID-19 test result from a test taken no more than 72 hours prior to the visit, or undergo Point of Care (POC) rapid COVID-19 test prior to admission into the institution by WSP-RC healthcare staff.
